I'm a southern girl, born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, currently living in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I am a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Psychology, but I've been chasing my calligraphy dreams since 2016. I finally made the big move to Honolulu in May of 2017 after studying at the University of Hawaii for two semesters in 2013/2014 as an exchange student and working as a summer intern the next two summers at a church in Manoa.
I found my love for calligraphy in the Spring of 2015 when I was brainstorming ways to fundraise for a summer mission trip (to Hawaii, of course). My sister gave me a calligraphy pen and some ink because she knew I had always wanted to learn calligraphy. Once I picked up the pen I couldn't put it down. It has been so fun to learn and grow as an artist. I enjoy working with pen + ink and watercolors the most.
When I am not doing calligraphy or design work, you may find me teaching power yoga at CorePower Yoga Ward and Kapolei, teaching pilates at Titan Core in Kailua or laying on a beach with my fiancé Rex (or more often times watching This is Us after a long day of work).
Some things I love: Jesus, cookies, yoga, my adorable nephew Jack and niece Willa Claire, flowers, adventure, organizing, pilates, silk ribbon, and snail mail.
